Privacy notice

This website is part of an early-stage evaluation of a possible European EPR compliance service. We deliberately keep data collection to a minimum.

What we collect

Waitlist forms: the answers you actively submit (email address, country, and the optional details you choose to provide). Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the checkbox in the form. We also store a pseudonymised (hashed) form of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string for abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server logs: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested URL) for security and operations (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); they are deleted on rotation.
Usage statistics: we use a self-hosted Matomo instance on our own infrastructure to count visits and understand which parts of this page are read (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — evaluating this service concept). It runs without cookies, without cross-site tracking, and data never leaves our own servers or reaches any third party. Your IP address is used only in shortened/pseudonymised form. If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" signal, your visit is not recorded.

What we don't do

No cookies, no third-party tracking or embeds — our usage statistics (see above) are self-hosted, cookieless and first-party only.
No sharing of your data with third parties. Data is stored on our own server within the EU.
No use of your answers for anything other than evaluating this service concept and contacting you about it.

Retention

Form submissions are kept for the duration of the evaluation phase. If the project does not proceed, they will be deleted.

Your rights

You can withdraw your consent and request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data at any time: hello@eprcommons.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Austria: Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).
